Henmother Cookhouse is hands down one of our favorite restaurants in Alpharetta. My husband and I eat here ALL the time. It has truly become our go to spot. The food is consistently delicious, fresh, and actually picture perfect every time! We love that there is such a great variety on the menu, including plenty of healthier options. The Market Hash is one of my favorites because it’s loaded with vegetables, and the gluten free oat cake is SO good. Like actually insane good! This morning I tried the chia pudding and the fresh cut fruit on top was absolutely beautiful and so fresh. Everything just tastes like someone actually cares about what they’re putting on your plate. But as much as we love the food, the people are probably the biggest reason we keep coming back. Aimee and Dom are our absolute favorite servers and always take SUCH good care of us. Jay, the manager, is awesome and always so friendly and welcoming, and we love both Charlies too! What a great restaurant! Our server was great and my glass of water was always kept full. I ordered a fruit bowl, scrambled eggs, oat hot cakes, and a matcha. Their hot cakes are the thickest I've ever seen in my life! Come with an appetite! All the food was delicious. What was a really nice plus as well was the music they were playing while we were dining. I know that can always be subjective but it was enjoyable to listen to and not nearly as annoying as the music they play across the street at Taffer's.

First i want to start by acknowledging the SERVICE! 10/10 - Our waiter was AMAZING! Huge shout out to Nick AND Noah! (sorry if i misspelled your name) We had the AVOCADO TOAST which was $17.75 (CHEESY SOURDOUGH BOULEE*, RIPE AVOCADO, SLICED SUMMER TOMATOES, SHEEP'S MILK FETA*, CHERRY TOMATOES, ARUGULA TOSSED IN ROASTED TOMATO VINAIGRETTE, ZA'ATAR CRUNCH*, SERVED WITH HERB SMASHED YUKON GOLD POTATOES* +ADD TWO CAGE FREE EGGS ANY STYLE* and a side of their delicious MUST try pancakes 🥞 10/10 recommend you add this to your list of MUST TRYS IF VISITING! SO WORTH IT!! 🤤

Went with my colleagues for lunch. We had total of seven people in our group and we couldn’t be seated until everyone arrived. (Which was fine, just sharing fyi.) Atmosphere was ok, warm and inviting. The food was excellent. I personally tried the Avocado toast, chicken Caesar salad, breakfast tacos, grilled cheese, and pancake, and they were all excellent. (The pancake was gigantic. It was perfect for sharing.) My favorites were the breakfast tacos, and the chicken caesar salad. The chicken on the salad was very juicy and tender. The place was extremely busy because we went for lunch. This may not be the best choice for those in a hurry or looking for quiet conversation. But if you want a relaxed, lively, and casual atmosphere, it’s a great option.

Overall pretty solid experience. Unfortunately they were out of the cinnamon roll by the time we arrived (~12:45pm on a Sunday). The market hash had a really nice mix of vegetables that were well cooked, including broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, sweet potato, and brussel sprouts. The chicken biscuit - the biscuit itself was more like bread, not flaky or what you’d expect from a proper southern biscuit. The chicken and sauce were fantastic. The pancake was okay. The outside is so thick and dry that it needs something like a sauce on top; the small cup of maple syrup doesn’t really cut it. The inside is beautifully tender with good flavor. You can order just one pancake instead of two for half the price. The orange juice is freshly squeezed and a server confirmed they add sweetener to it.
